According to reports of that time, a notary Ser Affricanus Civis Perusinus was murdered by nine local farmers in our castle. He was an official chosen by Perugia to manage the castle. The population seemed to be an accomplice to that murder.

Perugia ordered such a quick and brutal repression for the crime committed. The historical reporter Ansidei wrote:

… on the 31th of January of the year 1433 the Council of Priors ordered the destruction of the castle of Casa Castalda to punish that community..

The destruction was partially carried out.
