In the year 1490 Casa Castalda closed its gates to Perugia’s tax collectors.
Perugia responded (as historical reporter Crispolti wrote) by secretly sending 500 units of infantry and cavalry to raid and loot whatever they wanted in Casacastalda’s territory.
